Please join us this Thursday September 27, 2012 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario from 1:30 - 6:00 pm for an Asbestos Disease Symposium. The symposium will highlight the tragic extent of asbestos disease in Ontario (around 500 new cancer cases annually) and the importance of screening, early detection and early referral for treatment. The situations here and in India will be compared. Dr. Eudice Goldberg of the Canadian Mesothelioma Foundation will be speaking about the need for a Canadian network of healthcare professionals addressing asbestos cancers. There will also be a presentation from a Belgian activist who lost his father, mother and two brothers to asbestos cancer. Please see attachment for full program.
